Easy 3-Ingredient Slow Cooker  Beef

1.Prepare the Slow Cooker:Use cooking spray or a liner.

Lightly grease the bottom of your slow cooker or use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.

2.Add the Beef:Chuck roast or beef steaks.

Place the beef cuts or roast in an even layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.

3.Season the Beef:1 packet dry mix.

Evenly sprinkle the dry onion soup mix directly over the beef.

4.Pour in the Beer:Pour gently along the side.

Slowly pour the beer around and over the beef, allowing it to mix with the dry seasoning.

5.Slow Cook Low and Slow:Cook until fork-tender.

Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours (or HIGH for 4 to 5 hours), until the beef breaks apart easily with a fork.

6.Shred & Serve:Drizzle rich pan juices over meat.

Shred or slice the beef directly in the rich beer-onion gravy and serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.

Chef’s Tips for Beef

  • Best Cut: Chuck roast is ideal because its intramuscular fat breaks down during slow cooking, making the beef melt-in-your-mouth tender.

  • Non-Alcoholic Swap: Substitute the beer with an equal amount of rich beef broth mixed with 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce.
